Arrive Chennai Welcome on arrival and then transfer to hotel. ![]() Chennai After breakfast leave for full day sightseeing including some of the places like: Fort St. George & St. Mary’s Church, Gandhi Mandapam, Anna Square, Kapaleeswara Temple, Light House, Marina Beach & Aquarium, Parthasarathy Temple, San Thom Cathedral, Snake Park, Theosophical Society, Valluvar Kottam, Ripon Buildings and War Memorial Fort Museum and Govt. Museum & Art Gallery. Back to hotel and stay overnight Chennai- Kanchipuram (71 kilometers; 1 and ½ hour drive) After breakfast you will leave for Kanchipuram. Have Darshan (holy visit to temple) at Chitragupta Temple, Ekambeshwara Temple and then you can do some shopping if you are interested in having idols or spiritual items. Kanchipuram is also a well-known centre of the finest silk sarees made in the country. Later you can have darshan at Kailasanatha Temple. Kanchipuram- Pondicherry (113 kilometers; 2 and ½ hour drive)Proceed to Pondicherry; check in hotel and stay overnight Pondicherry- Chidambaram (68 kilometers; 1 and ½ hour drive)After breakfast visit famous Aurobindo ashram and the city. Later proceed to Chidambaram; have Darshan (holy visit) at Nataraja Temple. Chidambaram is one of the foremost Saivite shrines; the very name Kovil refers to Chidambaram, where Natarajar is enshrined in the ChitSabha or the Hall of Consciousness. Have Darshan at Sivakami Amman Temple. Stay overnight at hotel in Chidambaram Chidambaram - Thajavur (113 kilometers; 2 and ½ hour drive) After breakfast proceed to Thanjavur; enroute visit Navagraha Temple around Kumbakonam. Have Darshan (holy visit) at Swamimalai, the fourth among the six padai veedu or sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Muruga. Stay overnight at hotel in Thanjavur Thajavur- Trichy (55 kilometers; 1 hour drive) After breakfast leave for city tour of Thanjavur including Thanjavur Palace and Fort. Later proceed to Trichy. Have Darshan (holy visit) at Rockford, Jambukaeshwar and at Srirangam Temple. This is the foremost of the 108 shrines glorified by the Alwars. It is the one of the greatest centers of the Sri Vaishnava religion and among the most visited pilgrimage centers in India. Also you can make visit to Trichy including the world famous Brihadeswara temple, Sangeetha Mahal, Saraswati Mahal, Raja Museum and Schwarz Church. Stay overnight at hotel in Trichy Trichy- Rameshwaram (228 kilometers; 5 hours drive) After breakfast leave for city tour of Trichy. This time you will visit several places such as the Rock cut temple, Sri Ranganathaswamy temple and the St. John Church. Tiruchirapalli or Trichy is situated on the banks of river Kaveri is famous for its temples. Later you will proceed to Rameshwaram Upon arrival you will check in hotel. Later you will visit the sacred island town of Rameswaram at the extreme southeastern limit of the Indian Peninsula that has one of India’s most venerated temple- Rameshwaram temple (one of the 12-Jyotirlinga; said to be formed by the own organ of Lord Shiva). A fine example of South Indian architecture, the temple is renowned for its many pillared corridors, about 1220 meters in length.Overnight stay at hotel Rameshwaram- Madurai (167 kilometers; 4 hours drive) Upon arrival you will check in hotel. Later you will make visit to The Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple (twin temples), which is one of the biggest temples in India. Also you will make a city tour of Madurai including - Tirumalai Nayak Palace (2-kilometers from city center), Mariamman Tank, Koodal Alagar Temple, Gandhi Museum and Government Museum (here the visiting time: 1000-1300 hours & 1400-1800 hours. Closed on Wednesdays).Overnight stay at hotel After having your breakfast in the morning you will proceed to Madurai. ![]() Madurai- Kanyakumari (242 kilometers; 6 hours drive) After having your breakfast you will proceed to Kanyakumari. Located at the Southern most part of India, Kanyakumari is a place at the confluence of the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Witness the setting sun and the rising moon simultaneously over three oceans. Overnight stay at hotel Kanyakumari- Trivandrum (90 kilometers; 2 hours drive)Early morning witness the sunrise and then you will come back to hotel for breakfast. Later visit The Vivekananda Rock Memorial, built on a huge rock off the shore off Kanyakumari, marks the spot where Swami Vivekananda. Have Darshan at Suchindram Temple and Kanya Devi Temple. Thereafter proceed to Trivandrum and enroute you can make a visit of Padmanabha Swamy temple. Trivandrum departure Assistance in airport transfer on board your flight to onward destination.
